Rick Jackson scored a season-high 21 points and added 12 rebounds and four assists, as No. 17 Syracuse rolled over host South Florida 72-49 Saturday.

Jackson, a senior forward-center, made 8 of 13 from the field for the Orange (20-4, 7-4 Big East), who won their second straight after a four-game losing streak. It was Jackson’s 16th double-double of the season.

Syracuse outrebounded USF 40-26, getting six from Jackson on the offensive end. Kris Joseph added 14 points and seven rebounds for the Orange.

Jarrid Famous, who missed the previous game with back pain, had 14 points and nine rebounds to lead USF (8-16, 2-9 Big East). The Bulls have lost two straight games and 11 of the last 13.

USF led 11-10 with 12:22 left in the first half before Syracuse put together a 12-0 run to take control. Jackson had 13 points, six rebounds and four assists as Syracuse earned a 37-28 halftime lead.

Syracuse held the Bulls to 10-of-28 from the field in the first half, 1-of-8 from 3-point range. USF was 2 of 15 for the game behind the 3-point arc.
