Tennessee (10-6, 0-2) led 27-21 late in the first half before an 11-4 run gave Florida a 32-31 halftime lead. The Gators led by as many as seven in the second half before the Volunteers tied the game at 64-64 on Trae Golden’s steal and layup with 3:52 remaining. Tennessee's Brian Williams’ follow tied it at 68-68 with 1:44 left.

Cameron Tatum scored 21 points to lead Tennessee, which has lost three of four. Tennessee played the game without head coach Bruce Pearl, who served the second game of an eight-game SEC suspension for lying to NCAA investigators.
