Third-ranked Kansas scored the game's first 15 points en route to a 99-52 victory over UMKC on Wednesday night.

The Jayhawks (14-0), who held the Kangaroos without a field goal for the first 6:35, followed with spurts of eight and 10 straight points in building a 52-24 halftime lead. Kansas also began the second half with a 12-2 run.

Kansas shot 55.7 percent from the field and scored 32 points off 26 UMKC turnovers. The Kangaroos, meanwhile, made 16 of 53 field-goal attempts overall (30.2 percent) and 3 of 21 (14.3 percent) from 3-point range.

Six players scored in double figures for the Jayhawks, led by Josh Selby with 16 points and Tyshawn Taylor with 15. Jay Cousinard and Bakari Lewis scored 16 points apiece for UMKC (8-7).

Kansas closes out its non-conference slate with a trip to Michigan on Sunday.
