Jordan Taylor led the way with 19 points, seven rebounds and six assists and Jon Leuer hit five 3-pointers as Wisconsin blasted Coppin State, 80-55, on Thursday. Tim Jarmusz added four 3-pointers as the Badgers finished 17-of-38 from beyond the arc.

Leuer dominated early, draining 3-pointers on each of Wisconsin’s first four possessions and scoring its first 14 points. Mike Bruesewitz’s 3-pointer made it 20-9 in favor of the Badgers and Josh Gasser’s shot from beyond the arc at the halftime buzzer pushed it to 47-28 at the break.

Wisconsin would grow the lead to 30 points in the second half and cruise to the finish.

The Badgers (10-2) have won six straight and head into Big Ten play on Tuesday with a visit from No. 16 Minnesota. It doesn’t get much easier from there, with a trip to No. 21 Illinois coming up right after and ranked teams on the schedule for four of Wisconsin’s first five conference games.

The Eagles (4-5) have it rough themselves, heading to No. 14 Kentucky on Tuesday before visiting No. 22 Texas on New Year’s eve.
