Durrell Summers led the way with 25 points on 10-of-15 shooting and Kalin Lucas added 10 points and eight assists as No. 15 Michigan State routed Prairie View A&M, 90-51, on Saturday. Draymond Green finished with 11 points and eight rebounds for the Spartans, who controlled the game from start to finish.

Michigan State (8-3) imposed its will defensively in the first half, holding Prairie View (2-10) to eight field goals while forcing 13 turnovers. It was more of the same after the break, as the Spartans completed one of their most dominating efforts of the season.

Coach Tom Izzo, who had been down on his team lately for its sloppy execution and an inability to put teams away, was not on the sidelines to see the marked improvement. He was hit with a one-game suspension by the NCAA for a secondary recruiting violation on Friday.

Michigan State, which has lost to No. 4 Connecticut, No. 1 Duke and No. 5 Syracuse this season, gets to face No. 25 Texas on Wednesday before opening Big Ten play against No. 20 Minnesota on December 31.
