Tony Freeland scored 14 points, and host DePaul snapped a two-game losing streak with a 61-47 victory over Wisconsin-Milwaukee on Tuesday.

The Blue Demons (4-6) needed a win, and got one by improving to 10-0 against the Panthers.

DePaul was down by as many as nine points in the first half, but battled back to take a 29-25 lead at the break. Mike Stovall scored nine points in the opening 20 minutes and Cleveland Melvin added six.

Melvin finished with 11, and was the only other player in double figures for DePaul, which scored 17 points off 20 turnovers.

Freeland scored eight of his points in the second half as DePaul outscored Wisconsin-Milwaukee 32-22 to pull away.

Anthony Hill and Ja’Rob McCallum scored 10 points apiece to lead the Panthers (5-7), who shot 39 percent (18 of 46) from the field and made 3-of-14 3-pointers and 8-of-15 free throws.
