Brandon Young scored 20 of his 31 points after halftime as DePaul came roaring back for a 71-62 victory over Central Michigan on Sunday evening in Rosemont, Ill.

The Chippewas (2-5) rushed out to an early 19-5 lead and went into the locker room with a 36-24 halftime advantage. DePaul, though, scored the first 10 points of the second half to get back into contention and pulled ahead, 50-48, on a three-pointer by Young with 8:57 remaining.

With the game tied at 58-58, Young hit another three at the 5:40 mark, setting off an 11-0 surge by the Blue Demons that made it 69-58 with 33 seconds to go. Young was a perfect 6-for-6 from long range on the night.

Tony Freeland added 14 points for DePaul (3-4). Central Michigan got 19 points from Jalin Thomas and 16 from Amir Rashid.
