Jon Leuer and Jordan Taylor combined for 43 points and helped Wisconsin rebound from a close loss with an 87-48 win over North Carolina State Wednesday in ACC/Big Ten Challenge action at the Kohl Center in Madison, Wis.

Wisconsin (5-2), which lost to Notre Dame 58-51 in the finals of the Old Spice Classic on Sunday, struggled with the Wolfpack (4-3) through the first nine minutes of the first half. The Badgers held a 12-11 lead with 13:51 to go in the half before rattling off seven unanswered points.

The Badgers had better luck from there, shooting 50 percent (28-for-56) from the field and pulling down 41 rebounds to NC State’s 30. The Badgers committed just six turnovers.

Leuer’s double-double of 22 points and 11 rebounds led Wisconsin, and Taylor scored 21 points. Jared Berggren came off the bench for 12 points in 12 minutes.

Scott Wood led the Wolfpack with 13 points, three rebounds and three steals.
