The Mavericks led for much of the first quarter, forging a 31-22 advantage behind 10 points from Doncic.

San Antonio cut the lead to four points on two occasions in the second period, but Dallas responded each time, eventually pushing its advantage to a dozen on two Porzingis free throws with 1:21 to pay in the half.

The Spurs pulled within 65-57 after Murray's jumper with 3.6 seconds remaining, but Porzingis banked in a 3-pointer at the buzzer to give Dallas a 68-57 lead at the break.
