Danilo Gallinari scored 25 points to lead the Oklahoma City Thunder to a season high in points in a 140-111 home win over the Atlanta Hawks on Friday night.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander finished with 24 points as the Thunder won their fourth straight game. Dennis Schroder added 21 points and Mike Muscala had 14 to help Oklahoma City's subs score 58 points.

John Collins shot 13 of 16 overall and scored 28 points for the Hawks, who have lost three of four and seven of 10.

Trae Young, a night after he was announced an All-Star starter in the Eastern Conference, finished with 26 points and a season-high 16 assists. Young was just seven of 20 from the field two days after missing Atlanta's win over the Los Angeles Clippers due to a thigh bruise.

The Thunder never trailed, but they didn't start to pull away until making a late push in the third quarter after the Hawks pulled within a point on Young's floater at 6:09.

Young had seven points and four assists in the first half of the third quarter to lift Atlanta back into the game. But Oklahoma City closed the quarter with a 27-14 run to take control.

Muscala, pressed into extensive action with the absence of Steven Adams, scored eight points during that stretch, hitting a pair of 3-pointers to help the Thunder pull away.

Oklahoma City shot 56 percent from behind the 3-point line, nearly 10 percent better than in any other game this season.

Atlanta's loss spoiled Young's return to the arena in which he grew up watching current Thunder point guard Chris Paul when Paul began his career with the New Orleans Hornets during their two-season stay in Oklahoma City in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina.

The Thunder were without two starters. Adams missed his second consecutive game with a left ankle sprain, and guard Terrance Ferguson missed his fourth consecutive game for personal reasons.
