Trail Blazers 92, Jazz 89: Damian Lillard had 23 points, 12 assists and eight rebounds as visiting Portland rallied from 11 points down in the fourth quarter to end a season-long five-game losing streak.

LaMarcus Aldridge returned after a one-game absence due to a hand injury and totaled 19 points and nine rebounds for the Trail Blazers, who maintained fourth place in the Western Conference. Dorell Wright, who moved back to the bench after starting for Aldridge in the last game, added 15 points and Allen Crabbe, who started in place of the injured Nicolas Batum (back), scored eight.

Derrick Favors had 26 points and 13 rebounds and Trey Burke scored 22 for the Jazz, who played without leading scorer Gordon Hayward (shoulder) and fellow starter Rodney Hood (illness). Rudy Gobert added 12 points and 10 rebounds and Joe Ingles moved back to the bench after starting the last game for Hayward and scored 10 points for Utah.

Portland battled back from 11-point deficit early in the fourth quarter and moved ahead 87-86 on a three-point play by Lillard with 1:31 left in the game. The teams traded leads on the next two possessions before Burke missed a 12-footer with 15 seconds left, Gobert was called for goaltending on Aldridge with five seconds on the clock and Favors missed a potential tying 3-pointer at the buzzer.

The Jazz led by as many as 10 in the first quarter but gave it back with an 11-2 run by Portland to start the second, and the game remained close until the Jazz used a 15-2 run to close the third quarter and move back ahead by 10 entering the fourth. Portland pulled within five on Joel Freeland’s 8-footer with 9:14 left in the game, prompting a timeout from Utah, but the Jazz couldn’t rebuild a double-digit lead

GAME NOTEBOOK: Portland scored a season-low 76 points when these teams last met Feb. 20. … The Jazz scored 11 points off eight Portland turnovers in the third and outscored the Trail Blazers 12-1 on bench points in the quarter. … The Jazz came in allowing an NBA-low 85.2 points a game since the All Star break, 8.4 points below the No. 2 Memphis Grizzlies.
