Clippers 111, Knicks 80: Austin Rivers scored 21 points on 9-of-10 shooting to help Los Angeles demolish host New York and win its fifth consecutive contest.

J.J. Redick added 17 points and Chris Paul recorded 16 assists and four steals to go with 11 points for the Clippers, who maintained their hold on fifth place in the Western Conference. DeAndre Jordan contributed 14 points and 10 rebounds, Blake Griffin scored 14 points and Matt Barnes added 11 points.

Rookie Cleanthony Early (ankle) returned from a five-game absence to score a season-high 18 points for the Knicks, who lost for the ninth time in 11 games. Lance Thomas scored 14 points and Ricky Ledo added 12 for New York.

Los Angeles blew the game open with 17 consecutive points in a less than four-minute span of the second quarter. Redick scored eight points and Griffin had seven during the surge that ended with the Clippers leading 59-29.

The Knicks trailed 63-33 at halftime and their deficit grew when Los Angeles used a 13-2 push to take an 82-43 lead on Paul’s basket with 4:52 remaining in the third quarter. Rivers drained a 3-pointer to make it a 40-point margin and the Clippers continued to lead comfortably to the finish.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Jordan hit all seven of his shots and is 17-of-21 over the last three games. … Knicks SG Tim Hardaway Jr. (wrist) missed his sixth straight game. … The Clippers had a 17-0 edge in fast-break points.
