Cavaliers 95, Pacers 92: LeBron James had 29 points and seven rebounds as Cleveland edged Indiana to record its 15th consecutive home victory.

Kyrie Irving scored 13 points and Timofey Mozgov added 12 points and eight rebounds as the Cavaliers maintained their hold on second place in the Eastern Conference. Kevin Love had 11 points and 13 rebounds while Matthew Dellavedova and J.R. Smith scored 11 points apiece.

George Hill scored 24 points and Roy Hibbert had 20 points and eight rebounds for the Pacers, who lost their fourth straight game. Luis Scola added 14 points and 11 rebounds for Indiana, which remained in a tie for eighth in the East with the Boston Celtics.

Indiana took an 83-82 lead on Rodney Stuckey’s jumper with 5:52 remaining before James scored Cleveland’s next 11 points to give the Cavaliers a 93-92 lead with 2:02 to play. Hill missed a 3-pointer with 30.9 seconds left and Cleveland worked the clock down and Iman Shumpert collected an offensive rebound before Smith hit two free throws with one second left and Indiana’s C.J. Miles came up short with a 3-pointer prior to the buzzer.

The Cavaliers led by as many as 10 points in the second quarter before the Pacers used an 11-2 run to move within one and Cleveland ended up with a 45-41 lead at the break. The Cavaliers held an 11-point advantage early in the third quarter before Indiana responded with a 16-2 burst to take a three-point lead and the score was tied at 72 entering the final stanza.

GAME NOTEBOOK: James missed the mid-day shootaround due to illness before playing 39 minutes against the Pacers. … Pacers PF David West had two points on 1-of-7 shooting in 12 minutes before leaving with an illness. … Irving was just 4-of-16 shooting.
