Mavericks 129, Clippers 99: Chandler Parsons shot 5-for-6 from 3-point range and scored 22 points as Dallas knocked off visiting Los Angeles to move into sole possession of sixth place in the Western Conference.

Charlie Villanueva added 19 points and fellow reserves Devin Harris and J.J. Barea scored 15 points apiece for the Mavericks, who also pulled within a half-game of the Clippers for fifth in the West. Tyson Chandler finished with 14 points and 12 rebounds and fellow starters Monta Ellis and Dirk Nowitzki also scored 14 for Dallas, which shot 60.7 percent from the field.

J.J. Redick scored 17 points and DeAndre Jordan had 16 points and 18 rebounds for the Clippers, who made half of their 82 field-goal attempts. Matt Barnes contributed 14 points, Chris Paul had 11 points, seven assists and five steals and Jordan Hamilton led the reserves with 11 points for Los Angeles.

The Clippers, who were trying for a three-game sweep of the Mavericks this season, led by as many as seven in the opening quarter before settling for a 24-21 advantage heading into the second. Los Angeles held its last lead at 34-32 before an ensuing 9-2 run by Dallas put the Mavericks on top to stay, and their lead was at 59-51 at the half.

The Clippers trailed by three after Paul hit a 3-pointer with just under nine minutes left in the third quarter but Parsons converted a three-point play on the other end and Ellis followed with a jumper in transition off a Jordan turnover. Dallas closed the third quarter with an 11-4 run to move ahead 91-78 entering the fourth and the Mavericks continued to ease away.

GAME NOTEBOOK: The Mavericks improved to 31-0 this season when leading after the third quarter, the NBA's only undefeated team. ... Clippers F Blake Griffin missed his 15th straight game following surgery to remove a staph infection in his elbow, but he is reportedly aiming for a return Sunday against the visiting Houston Rockets. ... Dallas F Al-Farouq Aminu, a former Clipper who left in the second half Tuesday against the Cleveland Cavaliers after colliding with J.R. Smith, did not play (shoulder).
