Mo Williams scored 15 of his 17 points in the second half and Al Jefferson added 16 points and seven boards for the Hornets, who snapped a five-game skid. Brian Roberts contributed 12 points off the bench and Gerald Henderson had 11 points and three steals for Charlotte, which ended a streak of three straight losses at Chicago.

Pau Gasol tallied 25 points, 13 rebounds and four blocks for his league-leading 38th double-double of the season for the Bulls, who had won two straight and six of seven. Jimmy Butler added 14 points and seven boards and Aaron Brooks scored 12 points for Chicago, which was 3-of-17 from 3-point range including 0-for-9 in the second half.

Williams scored 13 points in third quarter, but the Hornets could only open a two-point advantage entering the fourth. It was a three-point game with just under nine minutes left when Charlotte reeled off a 19-5 run to take control.

The Bulls led by nine early on, but Charlotte surged back and Roberts hit a jumper to tie it at 20 after one quarter. Neither team led by more than two in the second quarter and it was tied at 44 at halftime.
