Jazz 92, Trail Blazers 76: Gordon Hayward led the way with 20 points as Utah pulled away early in the fourth quarter to defeat visiting Portland.

Trey Burke contributed 19 points off the bench for the Jazz, who won for the third time in four games while outscoring the Trail Blazers 53-33 in the second half. Derrick Favors had 16 points and nine rebounds for Utah, which snapped a five-game losing streak against Portland and had a 48-37 edge on the boards.

All-Star Damian Lillard led the way with 19 points for the Trail Blazers, who managed only 10 field goals and shot 27.8 percent from the field in the second half. LaMarcus Aldridge recorded 14 points and eight rebounds while Wesley Matthews scored 13 for Portland, which produced a season low in scoring.

The Trail Blazers pulled within six going into the fourth, but consecutive 3-pointers by Dante Exum, Rodney Hood and Elijah Millsap highlighted a 15-0 run to push the Jazz lead to 80-59 with 9:12 to go. Millsap drained another from the arc to increase the advantage to 83-61 with 7:54 remaining and Utah cruised from there.

Burke scored six during a 14-2 burst to give the Jazz a four-point lead in the second quarter, but Matthews had seven points during a late surge as Portland edged in front 43-39 at intermission. The Trail Blazers extended the lead to eight before Hayward scored 10 as Utah recorded 22 of the next 27 for a 63-54 lead with 1:54 left in the third quarter.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Portland G Steve Blake changed his uniform number from 25 to 5 on Friday to honor former Trail Blazer Jerome Kersey, who passed away Wednesday from a blood clot in his lung. Kersey wore No. 25 for Portland, playing with the team from 1984-95. … Hood returned after missing 12 games with a foot injury and recorded six points in 10 minutes. … Portland SG Arron Afflalo and SF Alonzo Gee, acquired from Denver in a trade on Thursday, did not play.
