Darren Collison scored 23 points for the Kings, who made their first 24 free throws en route to their first road win in six tries against an Eastern Conference team. DeMarcus Cousins had 20 points on 6-of-24 shooting and 19 rebounds before fouling out with 1:46 remaining.

David West and C.J. Miles scored 17 points apiece to lead the way for the Pacers, losers of nine of their last 11. George Hill came off the bench to provide 14 points and fellow reserve Luis Scola chipped in 13.

Collison scored 12 points in the first quarter while the Kings finished 12-of-12 at the line to claim a 34-21 lead, and Gay made 5-of-6 shots in the second as Sacramento took a 64-50 advantage into halftime. The lead grew to 20 late in the third before the Pacers closed the period on an 8-0 run and then pulled within 80-71 on back-to-back hoops by Miles early in the fourth.

Scola hit four straight free throws to slice the deficit to seven points moments later, but Cousins had a putback to restore a double-digit lead with under eight minutes to go. Indiana put together a 7-0 run - all from the foul line - to get within 93-89 with 1:21 left before Gay hit a tough fadeaway and Collison buried a long jumper with 13 ticks remaining to help the Kings survive.
