Cavaliers 103, Pistons 95: Kyrie Irving tied a season high with 38 points to help visiting Cleveland stretch its winning streak to seven games.

LeBron James finished with 32 points and seven assists for the Cavaliers, whose streak is one victory shy of a season high. The rest of the Cleveland starters combined to go 8-of-29 from the floor while Tristan Thompson grabbed 12 rebounds off the bench.

D.J. Augustin led the way for Detroit with 19 points and nine assists and Greg Monroe added 17 points and 12 rebounds. Andre Drummond had 12 points, 17 boards and six blocked shots while Anthony Tolliver added 16 points in a reserve role for the Pistons, who have dropped three straight.

Irving scored 10 points in the second quarter while James added nine to help Cleveland turn a two-point deficit into a 47-39 halftime lead. It was a five-point gap midway through the third before J.R. Smith hit a jumper and a 3-pointer to highlight a 12-2 run as the Cavaliers opened up a 75-64 lead going into the fourth.

James had a dunk and a layup and Thompson also had a slam as Cleveland held a 12-point advantage with just over six minutes on the clock, but Tolliver hit a pair of 3-pointers to get Detroit within 86-78 under the four-minute mark. Irving's 3-pointer with 65 seconds to go made it 93-83 and he and James combined to make 10 straight free throws in the final minute to fend off a late rally by the Pistons.

GAME NOTEBOOK: James left the court in the closing seconds of the third quarter after hurting his right wrist but returned to start the fourth. ... The Pistons announced that G Brandon Jennings underwent successful surgery to repair a ruptured left Achilles tendon, which will keep him out for the rest of the season. ... Irving was 6-of-10 from long range while his teammates went 3-of-24.
