Clippers 123, Nets 84: Blake Griffin scored 24 points as Los Angeles blew out visiting Brooklyn for its third straight victory.

J.J. Redick added 17 with the help of 3-for-4 shooting from 3-point range and Chris Paul distributed 17 assists in 24 minutes for the Clippers, who shot a season-high 59 percent from the floor. Jamal Crawford again led the reserves with 17 points and DeAndre Jordan contributed 14 points and 12 rebounds before joining the other Los Angeles starters on the bench for the final 17 minutes.

Mason Plumlee scored 16 points to lead the Nets, who trailed by as much as 45 points in the second half. Darius Morris and 7-foot backup center Jerome Jordan took advantage of the late playing time to score 11 points apiece for Brooklyn.

The Nets took two brief leads midway through the opening quarter, but Clippers forward Matt Barnes sank a 3-pointer to give the Clippers the lead for good and Griffin closed out the 10-0 run with a slam dunk followed by a 19-footer for a 24-17 lead with 3:45 left in the first. Brooklyn guard Jarrett Jack sank a jumper at the first-quarter buzzer to get the Nets back within 11 but they were unable to build on the momentum.

A 14-0 run early in the second quarter seemed to take the fight out of the Nets for good as they fell behind by 25 on a powerful lob dunk from Paul to Jordan. The lead continued to balloon, getting up to as much as 35 before Los Angeles took a 70-37 advantage into the break after shooting 65.9 percent from the floor in the opening half.

GAME NOTEBOOK: The Clippers had 24 of their 41 assists in first half, their most in any half since the 1991-92 season. … The 70 first-half points by the Clippers and the 37 by the Nets matched the season high for Los Angeles and the season low for its opponents. … Redick is 14-for-24 from 3-point range in the last four games.
