Klay Thompson scored 27 points and Stephen Curry added 22 and 10 assists as Golden State blasted visiting Houston to set a franchise record with its 17th straight home win.

Draymond Green scored 18 points and Harrison Barnes had 11 for the Warriors, who broke the record of 16 consecutive home wins last set by the 1959 Philadelphia squad. Andrew Bogut collected nine points, 10 rebounds and a season-high tying five blocks while David Lee scored nine points to go over 10,000 for his career as Golden State became the first team in NBA history to win 10 straight home games by at least 13 points.

James Harden went 14-of-16 at the free-throw line en route to 33 points for the Rockets, who have dropped three of five. Corey Brewer scored 20 off the bench as Houston fell to 0-4 against the Warriors this season.

The game was tied at 36 with 9:36 left in the second quarter before Golden State closed the half with a 26-6 run to take a 20-point lead into the break. The Rockets had more than twice as many turnovers (nine) as made field goals (four) in the second quarter and shot 30.2 percent in the half.

Thompson scored six straight points and Green buried a 3-pointer to push the lead out to 82-52 with 5:28 left in the third quarter. The Warriors put up 40 points in the third and took a 24-point lead into the fourth before the Houston reserves made the final score more respectable.

GAME NOTEBOOK: The Warriors swept the season series from Houston for the first time since 1973-74. … Curry and Rockets G Patrick Beverley exchanged some shoves in the third quarter and Curry ran at Houston F Trevor Ariza after being shoved on the way down court. Curry was held back and Ariza was assessed a technical foul. … Rockets F Josh Smith was ejected with 2:59 left in the third after getting two technicals in a row for yelling at the officials.
