Grizzlies 102, Trail Blazers 98:
Zach Randolph had 20 points and 15 rebounds to lead Memphis past Portland for its fourth consecutive victory.

Beno Udrih matched a season high with 17 points and he hit all seven of his field-goal attempts for the Grizzlies, who were without point guard Mike Conley (ankles) for the second straight game. Jeff Green and Courtney Lee also scored 17 points and Marc Gasol contributed 15 points, eight rebounds, six assists and three blocked shots.

LaMarcus Aldridge had 32 points and nine rebounds and Wesley Matthews matched his season high of seven 3-pointers while scoring 25 points for the Trail Blazers, who lost their third straight game. Damian Lillard added 23 points and Chris Kaman collected 11 rebounds.

Matthews capped a 7-0 run with a 3-pointer to get Portland within 86-84 with 5:18 to play and Memphis stretched it back to out five before a 3-pointer by Lillard pulled the Trail Blazers within two with 1:06 left. Udrih drained a 20-footer to put the Grizzlies up by four and Randolph added two free throws before Lillard hit a 3-pointer to pull Portland within three with 27.3 seconds to play prior to Udrih putting the game away by knocking down a jumper with 8.7 seconds remaining.

Memphis shot 61.1 percent from the field in the first half while taking a 60-42 lead into the break. Portland trailed by 20 early in the third quarter before using an 11-2 run to pull within 11, and Steve Blake and Matthews ended the period with 3-pointers as the Trail Blazers pulled within 78-70 entering the final stanza.

GAME NOTEBOOK:
Matthews’ third 3-pointer allowed him to pass Terry Porter (773) as the franchise leader in that category. Matthews ended the contest with 778. … The double-double is the fifth in a row for Randolph, who has 21 on the season. … Lillard was just 9-of-26 from the field and Portland shot 38.7 percent overall.
