Warriors 131, Rockets 106: Stephen Curry had 27 points, 11 assists and seven rebounds as visiting Golden State pulled away from Houston in the second half.

Klay Thompson also scored 27 points to go with a career-high five blocks for the Warriors, who rebounded from a loss at Oklahoma City on Friday. David Lee tallied 18 points and eight rebounds and fellow reserve Marreese Speights added 15 points as Golden State won its fourth straight against the Rockets, including three meetings this season.

Dwight Howard collected 23 points and 10 rebounds for the Rockets, who had a four-game home winning streak snapped. Donatas Motiejunas and Josh Smith each scored 14 points while leading scorer James Harden struggled to 12 points on 4-of-15 shooting.

The Rockets led by four late in the second quarter before Golden State scored the final nine points of the half to take a 64-59 lead and added the first five points of the third quarter for the first double-digit advantage of the game. Curry and Thompson took over in the third quarter, combining for 26 of the Warriors' 38 points in the period.

Lee scored eight points during a 12-0 run to end the third quarter as the lead ballooned to 102-80 entering the fourth. Kostas Papanikolaou scored five quick points to cut the deficit to 110-94 and prompt a Golden State timeout with 6:33 remaining, but the Warriors reeled off 11 straight points to halt the rally.

GAME NOTEBOOK: The teams meet again Wednesday at Golden State, where the Warriors will try to sweep the season series for the first time since 1973-74. … The Warriors' 131 points are the most allowed by the Rockets this season. … Thompson went 3-of-5 from 3-point range and has made multiple triples in 17 consecutive games.
