Pistons 114, Raptors 111: Brandon Jennings tallied 34 points and 10 assists as visiting Detroit rallied past Toronto for its ninth win in 10 games.

Greg Monroe collected 22 points and 10 rebounds and Andre Drummond added 10 points and 14 boards for the Pistons, who are 9-1 since waiving free-agent bust Josh Smith on Dec. 22. Jodie Meeks scored 13 points off the bench and Jonas Jerebko added 10.

Jonas Valanciunas scored a career-high 31 points and grabbed 12 rebounds while Greivis Vasquez scored 16 off the bench and Lou Williams added 15 for the Raptors, who have lost five of six. Amir Johnson collected 12 points and 10 rebounds and Kyle Lowry finished with 10 points and 12 assists.

Jennings hit a 3-pointer to tie it at 70 and capped a 17-4 run with a pair of free throws to put Detroit on top 72-70 with 4:54 left in the third quarter, and the Pistons led by as many as four before Williams banked in a runner to give the Raptors an 83-82 advantage entering the fourth. Jerebko hit back-to-back jumpers to give the Pistons the lead for good, and Jennings stole the ball from Lowry before he could get off a potential tying 3-pointer at the buzzer.

Valanciunas alone outscored the Pistons over the first six-plus minutes, putting up 14 points including a slam on an alley-oop from Lowry that made it 24-12 at the 5:36 mark of the first quarter. The margin hit 14 points in the second quarter before Toronto took a 60-48 lead at the break thanks to five straight points from Williams in the final 33 seconds of the half.

GAME NOTEBOOK: The Raptors had won 38 straight home games when leading after three quarters, a streak dating to April 1, 2013, also against Detroit. … Detroit has scored 100 or more points in 11 of its last 13 games. … Monroe recorded his seventh straight double-double, one shy of his career-best streak.
