Pistons 98, Nets 93: Brandon Jennings scored all 20 of his points in the second half and dished out 11 assists as host Detroit held off Brooklyn.

Greg Monroe collected 16 points and 17 rebounds for his sixth straight double-double for the Pistons, who have won eight of their last nine games after a 5-23 start. Andre Drummond tallied 14 points and nine boards and Kyle Singler and Jonas Jerebko added 11 points apiece for Detroit.

Joe Johnson scored 17 points and Mason Plumlee and Bojan Bogdanovic added 14 apiece for the Nets, who have lost five straight. Alan Anderson added 13 points off the bench and Brook Lopez finished with 11 points and 15 rebounds for Brooklyn.

Neither team led by more than seven until late in the fourth quarter when Detroit reeled off a 12-2 run to turn a two-point game into a comfortable advantage. Jennings scored five straight points during the spurt and Jerebko hit a 3-pointer to push it to 96-84 before the Nets scored seven straight points, but Brooklyn didn't get closer than five down the stretch.

The Pistons opened a 32-25 lead after Jodie Meeks converted a three-point play with 8:41 left in the second quarter, but the Nets answered with eight straight points and held a three-point advantage before Singler's triple in the final seconds made it 47-47 at the half. Jennings knocked down a jumper and fed Singler for a layup to stretch Detroit's lead to 68-62 with 3:56 left in the third quarter, and the Pistons settled for a 74-69 advantage heading to the fourth.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Johnson (369) passed Chris Morris for fifth on the Nets' career list for 3-point field goals. … Detroit snapped a three-game losing streak against the Nets and improved to 1-2 in the season series. … Lopez made his first career 3-pointer with 16 seconds left and is 1-for-11 in his career.
