Chris Bosh led the way with 26 points as Miami held off visiting Brooklyn to snap a four-game slide.

Dwyane Wade added 25 points, seven assists and six rebounds for the Heat, who won for the sixth time in their last 19 games. Hassan Whiteside collected 11 points, 10 rebounds and five blocks off the bench for Miami.

Joe Johnson scored 19 points and Brook Lopez added 16 off the bench as the Nets missed out on a chance to pull above .500. Mirza Teletovic scored 14 points and Deron Williams collected 13 points, eight assists and six rebounds in a reserve role for Brooklyn.

Wade’s three-point play pushed the lead to 81-72 with 4:48 left and he added a runner in the lane to restore the nine-point gap just over a minute later. Wade’s turnover allowed the Nets to cut it to 86-84 on a basket by Jarrett Jack with 5.2 seconds left before Bosh hit a pair of free throws with 3.6 seconds remaining to put the game away for the Heat.

Brooklyn trailed 49-40 at the half and were down 10 with five minutes left in the third before cutting the deficit to 61-57 on Lopez’s putback. Miami took a five-point lead into the fourth and extended it to 68-59 just 41 seconds into the final stanza before the Nets tightened things down the stretch.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Whiteside, who scored a season-high 14 points in a loss at Houston on Saturday, recorded his first double-double with the Heat. … Miami entered the game as the worst rebounding team in the NBA and beat the Nets on the glass 42-38. … Brooklyn, which took all four meetings in 2013-14, dropped to 0-3 against the Heat this season.
