Grizzlies 109, Lakers 106: Mike Conley had 19 points and nine assists and Marc Gasol added 18 points and 10 rebounds as visiting Memphis held off Los Angeles.

Beno Udrih scored 16 points on 6-of-8 shooting for the Grizzlies, who played without power forward Zach Randolph (knee) for the sixth consecutive game. Courtney Lee had 14 points and Tayshaun Prince scored 12 as Memphis defeated the Lakers for the fifth consecutive time.

Jeremy Lin scored 20 points and Ed Davis also had a season-best 20 points for Los Angeles while wearing a mask to protect a broken nose. Kobe Bryant had 15 points, nine rebounds and eight assists but his 3-point attempt at the buzzer bounced off the rim.

Davis scored back-to-back baskets to pull the Lakers within 102-100 with 2:32 left. Two baskets by Prince kept the Grizzlies ahead and a 3-pointer by Bryant pulled Los Angeles within one, and Davis had a chance to tie the game with 2.8 seconds left but he only made one of the two free throws before Lee made two free throws for the final margin.

Bryant had just four first-half points but the Lakers led 52-47 at the break. Memphis was 13-of-19 from the field in the third quarter while scoring 33 points and possessed an 80-77 advantage entering the final stanza.

GAME NOTEBOOK:
Davis was 7-of-9 from the field and also grabbed eight rebounds. …The double-double is the 10th of the season for Gasol. … The 20-point outing is Lin’s second of the season.
