Rose knocked down a pair of 3-pointers during a 14-2 burst to open the third quarter, and it was tied at 65 when Parsons scored five straight points to set off an 11-0 Dallas run, but the Bulls crept within 80-74 entering the fourth.

Harris and Richard Jefferson hit 3-pointers to push it back to double digits in the opening minute of the period before Chicago reeled off a 12-0 run over a span of four-plus minutes to open a 102-96 lead. The Mavericks chipped away, but Gasol hit a pair of free throws with four seconds left to make it a three-point game before Kirk Hinrich fouled Ellis shooting a 3 and he knocked down all three foul shots to force overtime.
