Pelicans 109, Lakers 102:
Anthony Davis had 25 points, 12 rebounds and six blocked shots as host New Orleans routed Los Angeles.

Tyreke Evans contributed 19 points and 11 assists and Ryan Anderson added 17 points off the bench for the Pelicans. Jrue Holiday had 17 points and Omer Asik grabbed 13 rebounds for New Orleans, which shot 54.9 percent from the field and had a 60-34 edge in points in the paint.

Kobe Bryant scored 33 points on 10-of-28 shooting for the Lakers, who drop to 1-7. Carlos Boozer added 16 points and Jeremy Lin tallied 15 as Los Angeles lost its fourth straight road game this season.

The Pelicans had a 13-point lead entering the fourth quarter and scored the first seven of the period, beginning with 3-pointers from Austin Rivers and Anderson. The lead reached 23 on Rivers’ basket with 7:52 remaining before New Orleans went into cruise mode and Los Angeles closed with a 14-1 surge.

The Pelicans led 51-48 at halftime and the Lakers were again with three points on Lin’s 3-pointer with 7:43 left in the third quarter. Holiday scored six straight New Orleans points during a quarter-ending 12-4 run that saw the Pelicans take an 85-72 lead into the final stanza.
