Rockets 108, Heat 91: James Harden collected 25 points, 10 assists and nine rebounds as visiting Houston downed Miami to remain unbeaten.

Dwight Howard added 26 points and 10 rebounds for the Rockets, who are off to their first 5-0 start since the 1996-97 season. Trevor Ariza poured in 19 points and Patrick Beverley, who missed the previous two games with a strained hamstring, chipped in with 15 for Houston.

Chris Bosh led the way with 21 points and eight rebounds for the Heat, who were held to under 100 points for the first time this season. Dwayne Wade scored 19 points on 7-of-11 shooting and Shawne Williams added 14 for Miami, which finished 17-of-27 from the free-throw line.

Howard and Harden combined for 36 first-half points as Houston overcame a field-goal drought of over five minutes in the second quarter to take a 57-55 edge into the break. Beverley hit back-to-back 3-pointers to give the Rockets a 77-64 lead before Bosh keyed a 10-0 run to cut the deficit to three early in the fourth quarter.
Houston regained control with a quick 7-0 spurt to go up 90-80 before Shabazz Napier and Justin Hamilton knocked down 3-pointers to close the gap to four with seven minutes remaining in the game. The Rockets replied with a 13-0 run, highlighted by three 3-pointers by Ariza, to pull away 103-86 as they went on to snap a five-game road losing streak to the Heat.

GAME NOTEBOOK: The Rockets went 17-of-37 from the 3-point line while the Heat finished 12-of-28. … Houston SF Kostas Papanikolaou tallied eight points, seven rebounds and five assists off the bench. … Frontcourt players Chris Andersen (ribs) and Udonis Haslem (hamstring) were inactive for Miami.
