Damian Lillard scored 25 points and LaMarcus Aldridge added 19 as Portland turned away visiting San Antonio to stay alive in the Western Conference semifinals.

Nicolas Batum collected 14 points, 14 rebounds and eight assists for the Trail Blazers, who are attempting to become the first team in NBA history to recover from a 3-0 series deficit. Will Barton scored 17 points off the bench as Portland forced a Game 5 in San Antonio on Wednesday.

Tony Parker scored 14 points and Tim Duncan had 12 points and nine boards for the Spurs. Boris Diaw added 12 points and Kawhi Leonard scored 11 for San Antonio, which went 3-of-18 from 3-point range.

The Trail Blazers trailed by an average of 21.7 points at the half in the first three games of the series but avoided the big hole in Game 4 and took a 50-48 lead into the break. The Spurs were within 65-61 with under five minutes left in the third quarter when Portland took control, getting seven straight points from Batum to spark a 20-7 run closing the period.

San Antonio cut the deficit to 13 points early in the fourth but Lillard scored nine straight Trail Blazers points to help push the advantage to 94-74 with 7:43 left. Duncan, Parker and Manu Ginobili sat out the entire fourth quarter as Portland put the game away.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Trail Blazers reserve G Mo Williams (groin) missed his second straight game. … Lillard went 2-of-6 from 3-point range - his first game in the series with multiple 3-pointers after knocking down at least two in each of the six first-round games against the Houston Rockets. … The Spurs went 25-of-25 from the free-throw line in Game 3 but slumped to 11-of-19 from the stripe in Game 4.
