Magic 115, Nets 111: Arron Afflalo recorded 25 points and E’Twaun Moore was 5-of-5 from 3-point range en route to 17 off the bench as Orlando held off visiting Brooklyn.

Tobias Harris contributed all of his 16 points in the second half while Jameer Nelson chipped in 14 points and seven assists as the Magic beat the Nets for the second time in three games. Kyle O’Quinn had 13 points and eight rebounds and Dewayne Dedmon added a career-best nine rebounds for Orlando.

Joe Johnson led the way with 31 points for Brooklyn, but had his 3-pointer that could have tied it blocked by O’Quinn with 11 seconds left. Mirza Teletovic recorded 17 points and nine rebounds, Mason Plumlee had 16 points and Marcus Thornton added 13 for the Nets, who fell three games behind Chicago for fourth place in the Eastern Conference.

Orlando trailed by two before Moore scored 14 of the game’s next 16 points, including four 3-pointers, and the Magic built their lead as high as 16 before settling for a 55-43 lead at intermission. Teletovic made four 3-pointers in the third quarter as the Nets briefly crept back in front, but they trailed 83-78 going into the final 12 minutes.

Brooklyn tied it at 97 with 4:45 left on Thornton’s 3-pointer before a basket by Dedmon put Orlando back ahead and Afflalo scored six quick points to help the Magic build a 108-103 lead. Johnson scored two straight hoops to cut the lead to one before Maurice Harkless’ baseline drive with 24.6 seconds left helped the Magic hold on.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Nets F Paul Pierce (hip) and G Shaun Livingston (toe) both sat out and C Andray Blatche (illness) missed his second straight while Orlando C Nikola Vucevic (left Achilles) was not in the lineup for the third consecutive game. … The Nets, who won at Miami on Tuesday, fell to 6-13 in the second of back-to-back games this season. … The Magic finished with a 22-6 edge in fast-break points.
