Trail Blazers 120, Bucks 115 (OT): Wesley Matthews scored 26 points and Mo Williams added 23 off the bench as host Portland escaped against lowly Milwaukee.

Nicolas Batum added 21 points, nine rebounds and nine assists and Damian Lillard scored 10 of his 20 points in the extra session as the Trail Blazers won for only the second time in the last seven games. Robin Lopez contributed 15 points and 14 rebounds for Portland, which was without All-Star forward LaMarcus Aldridge (back) for the third straight game.

Brandon Knight had 24 points and eight rebounds and Ramon Sessions matched his season high with 23 points as the Bucks lost their fifth consecutive game. Khris Middleton scored 18 points and Zaza Pachulia added 17 points and matched a season best with 13 rebounds for Milwaukee, which owns the worst record (13-55) in the NBA.

Sessions made only two of four free throws late in regulation and Portland took advantage as Lillard drove for the tying hoop with 4.9 seconds remaining to tie the score at 98. Lillard’s back-to-back baskets in overtime gave Portland a 109-103 lead with 1:46 left and Milwaukee was unable to get closer than three down the stretch.

Batum had 19 first-half points as Portland took a 52-47 lead into the break. The Bucks rattled off nine straight points in the third quarter to take a four-point lead before the Trail Blazers finished strong to take a 75-72 edge entering the final stanza.

GAME NOTEBOOK: The Bucks had a 56-46 edge in points in the paint. … Lillard was just 1-of-11 from 3-point range and the make was his 183rd of the season, two shy of the franchise record he set last season. … Milwaukee fell to 2-24 against Western Conference clubs.
