Clippers 109, Hawks 108: Blake Griffin scored 27 points and Chris Paul collected 19 points and 10 assists as Los Angeles extended its season-long winning streak to seven games by holding off a late charge from visiting Atlanta.

Griffin missed two free throws that could have sealed it with 13 seconds left and DeAndre Jordan committed a foul at the other end but Jeff Teague could only hit one of two with 1.2 seconds left. Jordan recorded 13 points and 12 rebounds for the Clippers, who are percentage points behind the third-place Houston Rockets in the Western Conference.

DeMarre Carroll scored 19 points to lead the Hawks, who dropped their sixth straight and 14th in the last 15 games. Kyle Korver scored 17 points and Pero Antic scored 16 but Teague was held to nine points and nine assists for Atlanta.

Korver’s four-point play pulled the Hawks within 102-100 with 3:28 to play before Griffin responded with a three-point play on the other end. Atlanta fought back to tie it at 107 when Paul Millsap found Teague for a basket, but Paul drove for a layup to put the Clippers back up with 54 seconds left before the wild finish.

Atlanta held a 65-59 lead early in the third quarter before the Clippers took off on a 17-5 run to grab the lead. Los Angeles extended it out to 88-78 heading into the fourth and was up 11 midway through the final period before the Hawks took off on an 11-2 run to pull within one possession.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Teague missed the first free throw and then made the second while trying to miss. … Clippers G Jamal Crawford (calf) returned from a three-game absence and managed three points in 10 minutes off the bench. … Griffin has scored 20 or more points in 22 straight games.
