The Spurs were 5-for-21 from the floor while falling behind 23-13 after one quarter but had a complete reversal in the second, storming ahead on the strength of a 12-0 burst and taking the lead for good on Mills' second 3-pointer of the period near the midway point. San Antonio went 6-for-9 beyond the arc in the second quarter, taking a 50-40 lead into the break.

Cleveland pulled within five points in the early part of the third before Green hit another triple to ignite a 9-0 surge. Mills and Diaw - who made all seven of his shots - hit two more 3-pointers in the final 30 seconds of the quarter to make it 85-68 and the advantage grew to as many as 28 in the final 12 minutes as the Spurs bumped their NBA-best road record to 23-8.
