Heat 103, Thunder 81: LeBron James scored 33 points on 15-of-22 shooting before leaving with a nose injury as visiting Miami led most of the way while winning a showdown with Oklahoma City.

Dwyane Wade contributed 24 points, 10 assists and seven rebounds and Chris Bosh added 24 points and eight rebounds as the Heat won for the seventh time in eight games. James took a shot to the nose from Serge Ibaka while driving for a dunk with 5:56 remaining and blood gushed from his nose before he was helped from the court and taken to the locker room; James passed a concussion test but was to have an X-ray to determine whether the nose was broken.

Kevin Durant had 28 points and eight rebounds for the Thunder, who had a three-game winning streak halted and suffered their worst home defeat since losing 107-72 to Portland on April 3, 2009. Russell Westbrook returned from a knee injury and scored 16 points on 4-of-12 shooting in his first action since Dec. 25.

Miami scored the first eight points of the final quarter to increase its lead to 84-65 before Oklahoma City pulled within 12 with 8:21 remaining. James departed with the Heat possessing a 90-74 lead and the Thunder were unable to make a late charge.

James scored 16 points on 8-of-10 shooting in the opening quarter as the Heat took a 34-17 advantage. The Thunder narrowed their deficit to 54-47 at halftime but Miami stretched the lead to 75-53 on James’ 3-pointer with 5:05 left in the third quarter before Oklahoma City closed the stanza with a 12-1 run to trail by 11.

GAME NOTEBOOK: The teams split two regular-season meetings with the Thunder prevailing 112-95 on Jan. 29 in Miami. … Oklahoma City drops to 23-4 at home and the other defeats were by a combined 12 points. … The Thunder were 2-of-20 from 3-point range and committed 20 turnovers, while the Heat were 5-of-21 with 19 turnovers.
