Kings 106, Knicks 101 (OT): Jimmer Fredette poured in a career-best 24 points as visiting Sacramento rallied to beat New York.

After the Kings scored the final five points of regulation to force OT, they carried that momentum over to extra time. Rudy Gay opened with a 3-pointer, Derrick Williams added a transition dunk following a Raymond Felton turnover and Sacramento held on from there to salvage a win in its four-game East Coast road trip.

Fredette knocked down six 3-pointers to lead the way while DeMarcus Cousins had 19 points and 14 rebounds but left in the fourth quarter with a strained left hip flexor. Carmelo Anthony's 36 points and 11 rebounds paced the Knicks, who have lost five of six.

After trailing for most of the second half, Sacramento drew even on a pair of Williams free throws but Amar'e Stoudemire responded with six straight New York points to stem the surge. Tyson Chandler's layup made it a five-point game with 1:40 left after Sacramento incurred a costly shot clock violation, but Fredette answered with a 3-pointer and Gay tied things on a 16-foot pull-up jumper with 20.8 seconds left.

Anthony's 22-point first half led the Knicks to a 54-48 lead going into the break - and he wasn't done there. Anthony opened the third quarter with five straight points, then hit a 3-pointer following a Stoudemire offensive rebound to help send New York into the fourth ahead 74-72.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Tim Hardaway Jr. played 38 minutes off the bench for the Knicks as fellow SG J.R. Smith, who has a fractured cheekbone, wasn't comfortable playing with a protective mask. ... Stoudemire had 20 points and eight minutes off the bench. ... Kings PG Isaiah Thomas is averaging 22.6 points and 6.8 assists over his last five games.
