Mavericks 114, Bobcats 89: Al Jefferson erupted for 30 points and host Charlotte finished with an NBA season-high 42 assists to trounce Dallas.

Anthony Tolliver's five 3-pointers fueled his season-best 22-point effort in a reserve role for the Bobcats, who beat Dallas for just the second time in 18 all-time meetings. Josh McRoberts dished out a career-best 13 assists while Kemba Walker had nine to go with seven points and nine rebounds.

Dirk Nowitzki and Monta Ellis scored 16 points apiece for the Mavericks, who saw their five-game winning streak come to an end. Devin Harris added nine points off the bench.

After taking a 28-26 lead into the second quarter, Charlotte extended the advantage by scoring the first 10 points of the period - six coming from Tolliver. Jefferson's 18-foot jumper kept the lead in double digits, and Tolliver added a 3-pointer from the right corner with 36.7 seconds left to send the Bobcats into the break ahead 58-44.

The Bobcats used a third-quarter surge to effectively put the game out of reach, as McRoberts and Walker drained 3-pointers during a 13-1 run that extended the lead to 71-45. Charlotte carried a 24-point advantage into the fourth, Jefferson reached the 30-point plateau with a short jumper just past the midway point of the quarter and both teams' benches played out the string.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Walker sat out the entire fourth quarter with tightness in his left Achilles. ... Nowitzki had to be helped off the court after twisting his ankle early in the second quarter, but returned to start the third. ... Jefferson broke the 30-point barrier for the fifth time in his last seven games.
