Wizards 93, Kings 84: Nene led five players in double figures with 18 points as host Washington held off Sacramento.

Bradley Beal hit four 3-pointers en route to 16 points and Marcin Gortat added 17 points and eight rebounds for the Wizards, who curbed a two-game slide and pulled back to .500 at 25-25. John Wall scored 12 points and Kevin Seraphin contributed 10 points and eight rebounds off the bench.

Isaiah Thomas recorded 30 points and eight assists to lead the Kings, who fell to 6-18 on the road. DeMarcus Cousins was held to 14 points on 3-of-16 shooting and 12 rebounds while Ben McLemore scored 11 points off the bench for Sacramento.

McLemore’s three-point play brought the Kings within 77-73 with 8:23 left but Beal hit back-to-back 3-pointers and Martell Webster added another during a 12-3 burst that spread the lead back out. Cousins’ layup brought the deficit back to 91-84 with 1:52 left but Sacramento went the rest of the way without a point as Washington put it away.

Beal began a 9-0 run with a 3-pointer and Garrett Temple completed it with a three-point play as the Wizards took a 39-26 lead with 8:17 left in the second. Sacramento fell behind by 17 points early in the third but settled for a 75-64 gap heading to the fourth.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Kings F Rudy Gay (illness) went 2-of-11 from the field in his return from a one-game absence. … Beal is 5-of-6 from 3-point range in the last two games after hitting 2-of-14 from beyond the arc in the previous four contests. … The Kings committed 18 turnovers leading to 26 points.
