Pistons 111, Nets 95: Brandon Jennings erupted for 26 points, 10 rebounds and nine assists as host Detroit cruised past Brooklyn.

Josh Smith added 23 points, eight rebounds and seven assists for the Pistons, who went up by as many as 29 points in the third quarter to prevail in the opener of a five-game homestand. Andre Drummond had 16 points and collected a career-high 22 rebounds while Kyle Singler also scored 16.

Jason Terry had 18 points and Joe Johnson added 16 to pace the Nets, who fell flat from the outset in the second game of a back-to-back. Mason Plumlee added 13 points while Reggie Evans 11 points and nine boards.

Detroit needed fewer than 14 minutes to open up a 37-17 edge on Drummond's emphatic dunk. Brooklyn reduced the deficit to 13 on a pair of Alan Anderson free throws, but Smith countered with five straight points and Jennings added a transition layup following a Johnson missed 3-pointer as the Pistons cruised to a 67-44 halftime lead.

It was more of the same in the third, as Jennings stretched the lead to 29 with consecutive 3-pointers - prompting Brooklyn head coach Jason Kidd to immediately call a timeout before subbing out his entire starting lineup. Detroit rode a 96-73 advantage into the fourth quarter and wasn't challenged the rest of the way.
