Raptors 94, Jazz 79: DeMar DeRozan scored nine of his 23 points in the fourth quarter as visiting Toronto downed Utah.

Jonas Valanciunas had 18 points and nine rebounds as the Raptors won for the sixth time in eight games. John Salmons added 13 points as Toronto moved four games above .500.

Marvin Williams scored a season-best 23 points and grabbed eight rebounds for the Jazz. Alec Burks added 20 points off the bench for Utah, which had just 10 assists while falling for the fifth time in seven games.

The Raptors saw a double-digit lead get trimmed to three before reassuming control. DeRozan’s 3-pointer with 3:03 remaining gave Toronto an 86-76 lead while the Jazz faded with just three points over the final four-plus minutes.

Toronto led 55-44 at halftime and stretched the lead to 13 in the third quarter before taking a 71-62 lead into the final stanza. Utah rolled off eight straight early in the fourth to pull within 73-70 with 9:38 left.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Raptors PG Kyle Lowry left with knee pain and had just two points on 1-of-8 shooting. … Jazz C Derrick Favors (hip) missed his third straight game and backup F Jeremy Evans (tailbone) sat out for the second consecutive contest. … Toronto backup PG Greivis Vasquez had 12 points in 27 minutes after missing Toronto’s previous game due to an illness.
