Nuggets 116, Clippers 115: Randy Foye buried a 3-pointer at the buzzer and finished with 14 points and seven rebounds as Denver edged visiting Los Angeles in a wild finish.

Kenneth Faried went 11-of-13 from the field en route to a career-high 28 points and added 11 rebounds for the Nuggets, who won for the third time in eight games. Ty Lawson returned from a two-game absence and contributed 27 points while J.J. Hickson collected 17 points and 12 boards for the Nuggets, who earned the win when Foye’s 30-foot off-balance heave was upheld upon review.

Blake Griffin recorded 36 points and 11 rebounds and DeAndre Jordan added 19 points and 12 boards for the Clippers, who have lost two of three. Jamal Crawford scored 19 points off the bench and Matt Barnes had 10, including a go-ahead 3-pointer that nearly gave Los Angeles the victory.

Jordan scored four points and J.J. Redick nailed a 3-pointer during a 9-2 burst that put the Clippers in front 107-101 with 3:36 left. The Nuggets scored eight straight points to take away the lead before it began to go back and forth, with Wilson Chandler’s free throws giving Denver a 113-112 edge with 50 seconds left before Redick found Barnes for the go-ahead 3-pointer with 6.2 ticks remaining.

The Clippers led by as much as 13 points early in the second quarter before the Nuggets fought back to knot it at 60 heading into the break. Denver pulled out to a five-point lead in the third before settling for an 82-81 advantage entering the fourth and was clinging to a 99-98 cushion after Faried’s free throws with 5:09 to play.

GAME NOTEBOOK: The Clippers dropped to 14-14 on the road and have dropped their last two away from home after completing a franchise-best 5-2 Grammy Award road trip on Jan. 27. … Denver built up a 52-37 rebounding advantage to help overcome 17 turnovers. … Lawson (shoulder) went 10-of-19 from the field and added six rebounds and four assists in 45 minutes.
