Mavericks 124, Cavaliers 107: Dirk Nowitzki led six players in double figures with 23 points as host Dallas pulled away to cap its homestand in victorious fashion.

Monta Ellis scored 22 and Samuel Dalembert finished with 18 points and eight rebounds for the Mavericks, who shot 55 percent and made 12-of-26 3-pointers. Devin Harris scored 16 points and fellow reserve Brandan Wright chipped in 14 as Dallas finished the homestand 3-1.

Kyrie Irving led Cleveland with 27 points and eight assists while Luol Deng had 18 points and four of his team's nine steals. Tristan Thompson collected 17 points as the Cavaliers lost their fifth straight.

Cleveland trailed by seven at the break and remained within single digits until Harris scored five straight points to make it 87-74 late in the third. The margin grew to 15 entering the fourth and Dalembert converted an alley-oop from Ellis to highlight a late 7-0 burst that helped put it away.

There were seven ties in the first half, the last coming when Anthony Bennett's layup pulled the Cavaliers into a 35-35 deadlock with 8:37 left before halftime. Dallas responded with an 11-2 run and then received consecutive 3-pointers from Nowitzki to open up a 52-39 lead en route to a seven-point advantage at halftime.

GAME NOTEBOOK:
Mavericks F Shawn Marion missed his second straight game due to a sore shoulder. ... Bennett scored 11 points to reach double digits for the second time in four games after failing to do so in his first 32 contests. ... Dallas had a 45-31 advantage on the boards and made 24-of-26 free throws.
