Trail Blazers 106, Raptors 103: LaMarcus Aldridge had 27 points and 15 rebounds as host Portland held off Toronto.

Damian Lillard added 21 points and seven assists and hit the go-ahead basket with 11.8 seconds left for the Trail Blazers. Wesley Matthews also scored 21 points and Nicolas Batum tallied 18 points as Portland let a 16-point fourth-quarter lead slip away before recovering to halt a two-game skid.

DeMar DeRozan had 36 points and recorded a season-best 12 assists but turned the ball over in the final seconds with a chance to give the Raptors the lead. Kyle Lowry had 23 points and eight assists and Jonas Valanciunas scored 18 points for Toronto, which lost for only the second time in seven games.

The Trail Blazers led 98-82 after Matthews’ 3-pointer with 7:41 left but the Raptors pecked away and a 9-0 burst brought them within 102-101 on Lowry’s 3-pointer with 2:53 to go. DeRozan’s two free throws with 25.4 seconds left gave Toronto its first lead of the contest and Lillard responded with a runner with 11.8 seconds left to push Portland ahead 104-103 and Batum added two free throws following DeRozan’s dribbling miscue.

Aldridge had 18 points and 11 rebounds in the first half as Portland opened up a 57-40 lead. The Raptors trimmed their deficit to five late in the third quarter before the Trail Blazers took an 83-74 advantage into the final quarter.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Aldridge has 23 games of at least 20 points and 10 rebounds, second in the league behind Minnesota’s Kevin Love (29). … The 30-point outing is the seventh of the season for DeRozan, who is headed to his first All-Star Game. … Matthews was 7-of-11 from the field, including 5-of-7 from 3-point range.
