Evan Turner scored a career-high 34 points and added 11 rebounds as visiting Philadelphia handed New York its fifth straight loss.

Thaddeus Young scored 19 points and Michael Carter-Williams collected 19 points, 12 rebounds and seven assists for the 76ers, who went 9-of-14 from 3-point range - led by Turner’s 3-of-3 effort. James Anderson chipped in 18 points on 8-of-11 shooting as Philadelphia won for the second time in nine games.

Carmelo Anthony had 28 points and seven assists for the Knicks, who have surrendered an average of 109.4 points during their slide. Andrea Bargnani added 20 points, Iman Shumpert scored 19 and J.R. Smith had 14 points off the bench for New York.

Smith scored the first five points of a 10-0 burst beginning the fourth quarter that left the Knicks with their largest lead of the night at 90-84, but they would go over five minutes without a field goal as the 76ers stormed back. Turner scored eight points in the 12-2 run that put Philadelphia back on top and scored again with 1:14 left to help put it away.

Philadelphia used a 13-0 run bookended by a pair of 3-pointers from Turner to take the lead in the first quarter and maintained the advantage throughout the first half, taking a 61-56 edge into the break. New York took a brief lead early in the third but the 76ers recovered and led by as much as eight points in the period before settling for an 84-80 gap entering the final quarter.

GAME NOTEBOOK:
Knicks C Tyson Chandler recorded 10 points and 14 rebounds but New York was still dominated on the glass 54-39. … Turner had averaged 9.7 points in the previous three games. … Bargnani had four of the Knicks’ 12 blocked shots.
