Thunder 104, Rockets 92:
Kevin Durant scored 36 points and visiting Oklahoma City put together a dominating defensive effort in the second half to overtake Houston.

Reggie Jackson added 23 points and Serge Ibaka collected 21 points, 15 rebounds and five blocks for the Thunder, who held the Rockets to a total of 19 points on 19.4 percent shooting after the break. Durant went 18-of-20 from the free-throw line and added seven assists.

James Harden scored all 16 of his points in the first half for Houston, which had a three-game winning streak come to an end. Terrence Jones recorded 16 points and 13 rebounds while Donatas Motiejunas added a season-high 15 points off the bench for the Rockets.

Chandler Parsons’ basket pulled Houston within 90-89 midway through the fourth quarter but Durant responded with a jumper and Jackson scored the next five points as Oklahoma City took control. Jeremy Lin responded with a jumper but the Rockets would not score again and managed only nine points in the fourth quarter.

Houston scored a season-high 73 points in the first half to take a 14-point edge into the break but cooled off considerably in the third. The Rockets were held without a field goal for the final 3:53 of the third and the Thunder closed the period with a 15-3 surge to knot it at 83 heading to the fourth.

GAME NOTEBOOK:
Durant has scored 30 or more in five straight games and nine of the last 11. … The Rockets went 12-for-20 from 3-point range in the first half and 0-for-14 from beyond the arc after the break as the 54-point differential from first half to second set an NBA record. … The Thunder won for the second time in five games and snapped a three-game road losing streak.
