Trail Blazers 108, Cavaliers 96: LaMarcus Aldridge had 32 points and 18 rebounds as host Portland defeated Cleveland.

Damian Lillard scored 28 points as the Trail Blazers beat the Cavaliers for the sixth time in the last seven meetings. Aldridge scored nine points during a decisive 15-2 burst over the final three-plus minutes as Portland improved to 16-4 at home.

Luol Deng scored 25 points and Kyrie Irving added 21 for Cleveland, which fell to 4-17 on the road. Dion Waiters scored 18 points off the bench.

Cleveland held a 94-93 lead after a 3-pointer by Waiters with 3:44 left before Aldridge knocked down one of his own 27 seconds later. Anderson Varejao’s basket tied the score at 96 with 2:54 to play but the Cavaliers didn’t score again as Aldridge scored six straight points and Wesley Matthews and Lillard followed with 3-pointers to make it a 12-point game with 30.8 seconds to go.

Lillard had 20 first-half points as Portland led 54-50 at the break. Aldridge scored 10 points in the third quarter as the Trail Blazers took a 77-75 edge into the final stanza.

GAME NOTEBOOK: The double-double was Aldridge’s 22nd of the season. … Varejao grabbed 14 rebounds and has been in double digits on the boards in nine of the last 10 games. … Lillard had five of Portland’s 11 3-pointers while Deng was 2-of-7 from behind the arc after hitting all five of his attempts in Cleveland’s victory over the Los Angeles Lakers on Tuesday.
