Gordon Hayward scored 22 points and Derrick Favors had 21 points and 11 rebounds as hot Utah defeated visiting Milwaukee.

Alec Burks added 13 points as the Jazz recorded their 12th consecutive home victory over the Bucks. Trey Burke and Enes Kanter contributed 11 points apiece for Utah, which has won three straight home contests.

Larry Sanders had 16 points and eight rebounds for Milwaukee, which lost for the ninth time in 11 games. Luke Ridnour added 12 points and eight assists and Gary Neal scored 11 points.

The Bucks pulled within 76-71 after Caron Butler’s basket with 8:34 remaining before Burks scored five straight points to push the lead back to 10. Milwaukee made another rush to get within 83-80 with 3:41 to go, but Burks drove for a layup to start a 6-0 run and the Jazz held on.

Hayward had 18 first-half points as Utah took a 51-42 lead into the break. The Jazz limited the Bucks to 19 third-quarter points to take a 13-point advantage into the fourth quarter.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Favors had four of Utah’s 10 steals. … Bucks PG Brandon Knight had just eight points on 3-of-12 shooting after scoring a career-best 37 points against the Los Angeles Lakers on Dec. 31. … The Jazz had a 43-34 rebounding advantage.
