Hawks 118, Bobcats 116 (OT): Paul Millsap broke out with 33 points and 13 rebounds as host Atlanta prevailed in its first game without Al Horford.

After Hawks big man Pero Antic forced extra time on a ridiculous fallaway 3-pointer with 3.1 seconds remaining, Atlanta used free throws to seize control in overtime. Millsap drew a foul on Al Jefferson and hit both foul shots to tie the game with 52 seconds left, Louis Williams went 2-for-2 following Kemba Walker's miss to put the Hawks ahead for good and Williams added eight more in the final 23 seconds as Atlanta held on.

Williams poured in 28 points off the bench while Jeff Teague added 20 points and nine assists as the Hawks beat Charlotte for the 10th consecutive time. Jefferson had 24 points and 23 rebounds in defeat while Gerald Henderson added 22 points and Walker scored 16 as Charlotte lost its second straight game.

Millsap was virtually unstoppable in the opening quarter, racking up 12 points and three rebounds en route to a 25-22 Atlanta advantage. The teams traded leads for the first half of the second quarter before Ramon Sessions' driving layup highlighted a 14-1 Charlotte run that carried the Bobcats into the break ahead 50-45.

Walker and Anthony Tolliver hit 3-pointers to key an 8-2 stretch that allowed Charlotte to surge ahead by 12, and the Bobcats fended off an Atlanta uprising - highlighted by a pair of Williams 3s - to lead 77-71 entering the fourth. The teams played a tightly-contested final quarter, with Millsap's layup with 44 seconds left evening the score at 96 and setting the stage for the wild end to regulation.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Horford is likely lost for the season after suffering a torn pectoral muscle earlier this week. He came into the night leading Atlanta in scoring (18.4) and rebounding (8.6). ... Hawks SF Kyle Korver went without a long-range field goal until early in the fourth quarter, when he connected from the left corner to extend his NBA-record streak of games with at least one 3-pointer to 99. ... Jefferson's 20-20 showing is the seventh in franchise history, and the first since Nazr Mohammed achieved the feat in 2010.
