Josh Smith added a game-high 25 points on 10-of-18 shooting for the Pistons, who had dropped two straight. Andre Drummond had 14 points and 11 rebounds while Rodney Stuckey added 14 points off the bench.

Kyrie Irving's 21 points and seven assists paced the Cavaliers, who shot just 38.6 percent from the field while committing 19 turnovers. Tristan Thompson added 17 points in defeat.

Smith did a little bit of everything - racking up 20 points, six rebounds, three assists and a pair of blocks - as Detroit cruised into the break with a 58-40 advantage. Cleveland closed to within 10 to open the third quarter, but back-to-back Greg Monroe baskets quelled the Cavaliers' rally and Smith added a thunderous dunk and a three-point play on back-to-back possessions as the Pistons entered the fourth ahead 89-64.

The game belonged to the benches from there, with one of the lone highlights of the quarter coming on Chauncey Billups' 31-foot 3-pointer from well behind the left edge of the arc. Luigi Datome's putback of his own miss with 4:41 remaining put the Pistons over the 100-point mark for the eighth time in nine games, and Kyle Singler followed with a 3-pointer on Jennings' 13th assist of the night as fans streamed to the exits.

GAME NOTEBOOK: The 23-point defeat was Cleveland's worst home loss of the season. ... Cavaliers C Andrew Bynum missed all 11 of his field-goal attempts, finishing scoreless with seven rebounds in 22 minutes. ... The Pistons have won seven straight meetings.
