Jazz 88, Bobcats 85: Trey Burke scored 10 of his 20 points in the fourth quarter as visiting Utah knocked off Charlotte.

Derrick Favors had 14 points and nine rebounds and Richard Jefferson tallied 13 points for the Jazz, who improved to 5-12 on the road. Gordon Hayward added 12 points and 10 rebounds and Alec Burks had 11 points.

Kemba Walker scored 20 points and former Utah standout Al Jefferson had 19 points and 11 rebounds for the Bobcats. Ramon Sessions scored 13 points and Charlotte had a chance to force overtime but Walker and Gerald Henderson each missed 3-pointers in the final seconds.

The Jazz used a 11-4 run to take an 81-72 lead with 6:42 remaining before the Bobcats scored 11 of the next 13 and tied the score on Al Jefferson’s dunk with 3:02 left. Burke hit a go-ahead 3-pointer 24 seconds later to put Utah back ahead and he added two free throws with 10.2 seconds left to make it a three-point margin before the game-ending sequence.

Charlotte led by as many as 11 in the second quarter and led 46-42 at the break. Utah overtook the Bobcats with an 8-0 burst early in the third quarter and took a 70-66 lead into the final stanza.

GAME NOTEBOOK: Henderson scored 12 points and has reached double digits in 19 consecutive games. … Burke had four 3-pointers as Utah made 10-of-21 attempts while Charlotte was just 2-of-12. … Bobcats F Jeffery Taylor will miss the rest of the season after suffering an Achilles’ tendon injury in Friday’s game against Detroit.
